TOEFL scores and ESL Programs (English as a Second Language)

SOLEX offers a TOEFL Preparation course for advanced students.  In this course you will receive training on how to successfully negotiate the format, content areas, and experience of taking the TOEFL exam. You will focus on the core skills for the exam, including; listening, speaking, vocabulary development, reading, and essay writing. Practice tests and sample questions will give you insight into your strengths and weaknesses and instructors will provide strategies for improvement in specific skill areas and test taking in general.

SOLEX College specializes in teaching English as a Second Language.  Our intensive English program is 6 levels and offers a mix of functional and academic English.  Students study 18 hours per week with an instructor.  Our Super-Intensive English gives students extra instruction in either pronunciation or TOEFL Preparation depending on the student's level.  With this program, students study 21 hours a week with an instructor.

If applying for the Associate's Degree in Accounting program a student must be able to prove Math and English proficiency.  Students may do this in a number of ways such as the Wonderlic SLE, ACT, SAT, TOEFL, or TOEIC.  English admissions tests may be waived if the student has completed Level 6 in the SOLEX College Intensive English program with a grade of B or higher.  Please visit our website for more exact details on admissions testing.

We enroll students once a month for our ESL programs and will enroll students up to the day before the program start date.

We enroll students for the Accounting degree program twice a year in the Fall and Spring semester.  Students should apply as early as possible, but may be admitted up to the day before the start of the semester.
