INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAM
The ESL Academy’s Intensive English program (IEP) offers both classroom and computer-based English as a second language courses. Intensive English classes are designed to prepare students for U.S. college and university courses. The curriculum is divided into three subject areas: vocabulary and conversation, writing and grammar, and reading strategies. Language development in these areas will help students become comfortable communicating in a number of different ways. Students of any ESL level are welcome to participate in the program. Students will be grouped into one of three progressive ESL levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. A student’s level is determined by the results of a placement test that takes place before enrolling in a program. Each level of the IEP is three academic quarters, or one academic year, in length and taught during the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters.

ACADEMIC ENGLISH PROGRAMS
The ESL Academy’s Academic English programs (AEP) are specialized English language training programs for academic purposes. AEP courses are especially suited for those with advanced English skills who are planning to advance their education at American colleges and universities. The programs include General Writing, Literature, and General Communication. In addition to focused study in one of these areas, students are introduced to expectations they will face in a U.S. college, such as regular class participation, original thought, and independent learning. Each program is three academic quarters, or one academic year, in length and taught during the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters.

BUSINESS ENGLISH PROGRAMS
Business English Programs allow advanced-level students a way to develop the professional language skills needed to communicate in a business environment. Programs include the Customer Service Specialist program and the Hospitality Industry Professional program. CAREER PROGRAMS
Career programs train students to have the skills needed for current high-growth industries, including networking, healthcare, and business administration. Programs emphasize job preparedness so that students have strong appeal for potential employers.
